At some point I’ve become so private and I had to ask myself, “Am I being selective or guarded?” There’s a difference between the two. To be guarded, you’re extremely private—you distance yourself and don’t let anyone in. To be selective, you’re very particular with what and who you share things with. However, I’ve concluded that I’m selectively guarded. I share the right amount of info with the people I choose. What you know is what I, Tamara, has told you.

Today, I sat down with myself and reflected on the past 6 months of my life. When I tell you I NEVER thought I’d be in the position that I am in today...I’m thankful for all my trials and tribulations. God is good. Extreme growth over here, man. I’m not the same woman you knew a year ago, or a month ago. Better yet, a day ago.

You think going through your “growth season” is easy and all smiles? Nope. You’ll be sad, you’ll cry, you’ll get upset. You’ll feel every emotion, but it’s all worth it in the end. Find your happy place and stay there. Also, don’t allow any and every person there. Where I’m headed, there’s no room for foolishness. If you’re here to waste time, be gone because you’re in my way. No distractions, please.

And, trust me, I’m still growing. I’m still learning. I’m still going through it.

Thank you, God, for growth!

—A woman you can’t handle.
